Integrated approach of brain segmentation using neuro fuzzy k-means

<p class="Abstract">A proposed method using neuro-fuzzy k-means for the segmentation process of brain has been developed successfully, simulated and assessed. The assessed by clinical images magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technology, to segment three main tissues brain. system is able important regions brain, which are white matter, grey matter cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) more accurately, as compared benchmarked algorithms. Furthermore, method’s misclassification rate (MR) significantly minimized 88%, 27%, 88%; 82%, 71%, 84%; 29%, 83%, k-means, fuzzy logic, radial basis function (RBF) CSF, respectively. Also, from visual interpretation, it observed that brain’s edges well preserved clearly segmented. From these measures, integrated approach shown be accurate in segmenting MRI tissue with reduced misclassified pixels.</p>
